A brief introduction about me…

My Journey into Design and Marketing

My career in design began in 1991. I started as a graphic designer at a small studio in Leicester. This was shortly after graduating from college. Those early years provided me with a solid grounding in visual communication. I also learned about layout and print production. These skills became the foundation of everything I do today.

After several rewarding years in the print industry, I spent over a decade developing catalogues, brochures, and branding projects. I worked closely with Dual Pumps’ General Manager on a pivotal project. This project was the creation of a new full-colour product catalogue. The success of that collaboration elevated Dual Pumps’ brand visibility. It also shaped the direction of my career.

In 2003, I officially joined Dual Pumps, taking on the challenge of developing a new company identity and brand direction. The rebranding proved to be a defining moment for the business. It helped modernise our presence. It also built long-term recognition across the industry. I also introduced our annual printed catalogue. It has since become a key reference point for customers and distributors each year.

My Role at Dual Pumps

In 2008, I was promoted to Design & Marketing Manager. I lead a small, dedicated team. We are responsible for driving the company’s creative and marketing output. My work now blends strategic planning with hands-on design. I also manage our digital presence, ensuring our brand continues to grow. It stays consistent and relevant.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for all marketing enquiries.
  • Manage the design, content, and distribution of the annual product catalogue.
  • Maintain and optimise the company website, focusing on SEO, analytics, and content updates.
  • Liaise with our IT team on major website developments such as mobile responsiveness.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all printed and digital communications.
  • Plan, organise, and promote trade shows, events, and customer training days.
  • Develop and manage budgets for both print and digital campaigns.
  • Deliver integrated marketing campaigns to drive engagement and product awareness.
  • Develop and execute the Dual Pumps marketing strategy and long-term marketing plan.

Looking Ahead

My journey from print design to digital marketing has been driven by a passion for creative problem-solving and innovation. I’ve seen first-hand how technology continues to reshape how businesses communicate. I’m constantly adapting to stay ahead of that curve.

I believe that great design and effective marketing go hand in hand. My goal is always to deliver work that is visually engaging. It is also strategically impactful for the Dual Pumps brand. This benefits our customers as well.
